Ship or Shame, week 40: what did you promise and did you do it?

#1

Friday. You know how this works. Last week you wrote down one thing. Reply with shipped or shame and the thing for next week.

I have the list. I am looking at the list.

Last week's promises, for reference: Dario (pricing page), Priya (Android widget), Rahul (first paying user), Noah (delete a feature), Tess (stop answering tickets at 11pm), Théo (finish ONE thing), Ollie (launch anything at all).

#2

Shipped. The pricing page is live. It has three columns like a grown-up company.

Next week: the Italian tax invoice export, which I have promised four restaurants and one uncle.

#3

Shipped. Deleted the "teams" feature. Nobody used it. Two people noticed and both said "oh, fine". 1,400 lines gone.

Next week: delete another one.

#4

SHIPPED!! The widget is in review!! Next week: onboarding screen number 3 because 40% of people leave there!!

#5

Shame. I started a new side project instead. It is a CLI for the thing I was supposed to finish.

#9

Shame. I answered a ticket at 11:48pm on Wednesday. In my defence the customer was very nice.

Next week: same promise. Phone goes in the kitchen at 9.

#12

Shame, but close. Two trials, neither converted yet. One is waiting on their boss.

Next week: same.

#13

Shame. But I narrowed it from seventeen projects to three, which for me is practically a launch.

#16

First time doing this. I did not promise anything last week, so: next week I will get a fourth savings group signed up. Writing it here so Mara has it on the list.

#18

Shipped: the newsletter went out on time for the 87th week running. Shame: I have still not received a mug.
