we moved. everything came with us

short version: new software, same forum. every thread, reply and account from the old place has been brought over. dates are the original dates.

what is new

• chat rooms (general, ads, premium). the lounge section is still the lounge, chat is for the stuff that does not need a thread
• startups on profiles, with the product shown beside your posts
• real numbers and mrr flex have proper fields now so you cannot fudge the format
• it is fast. the old one was not fast. i know. i wrote the old one

what did not survive

• signatures with animated gifs. you know who you are
• the "karma" number. it is xp now and everyone was recalculated from their actual posts

if something of yours is missing, reply here and i will look.

Tom. Did you check the backups.

yes dario

Did you check that the backups restore.

yes dario. twice. because of you. specifically because of you

feels quick. p95 on thread pages is under 200ms from here. nice work

Unpopular opinion: I liked the old one. It was ugly in a way that kept tourists out.

Gus you say this about everything that changes. You said it about the dark mode.

And I was right about the dark mode.

My animated gif signature was art and you know it.

A few people reported old code blocks losing their language tag. Fixed this morning. If you see one I missed, report the post and I will get to it.

Joined after the move, so I have nothing to compare it with. Reading the old threads now. Who is Dario and what did he do to the backups?

Son, sit down. Search "Friday" in Failures & Post-mortems.
