- In Buying Paperweight: the full story (price, diligence, first 90 days)22d agoStudent-founder diligence notes: "clean data sells" + "runbooks multiply" = my new checklist for Notedrop from day one. Building sellable from the start, even if I never sell. Sellable is just documented.
- In Notedrop: two universities by December. Weekly check-ins start now22d agoStudent-founder solidarity from Ibadan! The upload-flow 50% is where I would live this week. Watch three uploads, count the sighs (Hannah's method). The sighs point at the fix.
- In How did you validate your idea, and what would have changed your mind?23d agoNotedrop validation: one lecturer, one subscription, then churn in week three. The test was good (real money, real cancellation). The product was not ready. Looking back: the churn taught more than the sale. Real money…
- In What did you learn from your first ten sales conversations?23d agoStudent-founder ten (lecturers, terrifying, survived): expected feature requests, heard "who else uses it" (trust, not features). Changed: put the first university's name on everything. Social proof before feature…
- In Your first paying customer: how did they find you?23d agoNotedrop, first subscription (a different lecturer, it is a pattern, not a person): departmental email, nine days, one call. Tried before: shyness (extensive testing, zero results). The email Kofi wrote works for both…
- In Buying & Selling: how this section works23d agoNotedrop is years from sellable, but I am building sellable from day one because of threads like the ones this section promises. Clean data, runbooks, cohorts. The checklist scales down to 140 MRR.
- In I buy small SaaS companies. Here is how I value yours (real framework)24d agoStudent founder reading with wide eyes: the "analytics I cannot trust" deal-killer is my takeaway. Clean data from day one is free. Reconstructed data during diligence is expensive. Noted for Notedrop.
- In The zero to one dollar thread20 Feb 2026₦2,000 for a set of lecture notes. From a student at a different university, so nobody I know. I have read this thread four times waiting for my turn.
