Physiotherapist learning to code at 34. Hana is to blame

#1

Hello. Lena, Vienna. I am a physiotherapist at a clinic that uses Klinika, and after a year of sending Hana feature requests she said "you describe software better than most developers, come and learn to build it".

Real number: zero. I have a to-do app that only I use and a half-finished exercise tracker for patients.

Stuck on: every tutorial assumes I want to build a social network. I want to build a thing that shows a patient three exercises and asks if they did them.

I am to blame and I am proud of it. Lena once wrote me a bug report with a diagram of a knee.

Welcome. For what you describe you need one table, three screens and no framework debate. If you post what you have in Shipping I will tell you the next smallest step. Not the next ten.

#4

Pharmacist turned developer here, started at 31. The medical background is an advantage you cannot buy. You already know what the patient will not do.

#5

Health tech PM. When you get to the "did they do them" part, ask once a day and never guilt them. Every patient app I have worked on that nagged was deleted in a week.

Designer, also a newcomer to code. Happy to trade: I will draw your three screens if you look at my posture.

Welcome Lena. Two professions in one head is the most useful thing a founder can have. Kofi and Clara would both tell you the same.
