The lightweight version, for people who do not want a full log.
On Monday (or whenever you see this): reply with one thing you will finish this week. One. Make it small enough that a bad week cannot stop it.
On Friday: reply to your own post with one word, shipped or slipped, and one line of explanation.
Good examples:
- "Publish the pricing page."
- "Email the five people who cancelled last month and ask why."
- "Record the two-minute demo video."
- "Close the three oldest support tickets."
Weak examples, and how to fix them:
- "Grow the newsletter" becomes "write and send issue 4".
- "Fix onboarding" becomes "remove the company-size field from the signup form".
- "Do more sales" becomes "book two demo calls".
If your one thing slipped two weeks running, it is probably too big or you do not actually want to do it. Both are worth knowing.
