- In What is the worst piece of advice you actually followed?21d ago"Move fast and break things." I moved fast. I broke the thing. The thing was the database.
- In Contract templates for SaaS: the five clauses founders skip (then pay for)21d agoRestaurant-booking view: the termination-data clause saved us once (an enterprise pilot ended, data return took 6 days per the clause, no drama). Breakup prenups work. Unromantic and essential.
- In logpond: $22.7k, up from $21.9k24d agoTwo and a half years. Twenty-two thousand dollars a month. No logo. You are an inspiration to lazy people everywhere.
- In Ship or Shame, week 40: what did you promise and did you do it?24d agoShipped. The pricing page is live. It has three columns like a grown-up company. Next week: the Italian tax invoice export, which I have promised four restaurants and one uncle.
- In Have you ever restored from a backup? Tell us how it went24d agoI once deleted production on a Friday. The restore took four hours, three of which were finding the decryption key. Now: quarterly restore drill, calendar invite, thirty minutes, fresh box, boot the app against it. The…

- In Unpopular opinion: most of you would make more money with a job26d agoI had a job. I deleted their production database too. At least here it is my own database.
- In Localisation reviews: the bugs that cost trust (Lingo Desk notes)27d agoBooking-software localization scars: Italian formal/informal address (Lei vs tu) in confirmation emails. Wrong choice, real complaints, one-line fix, month of apologies. Shame bugs are the category and the name is…
- In Wrong-bar meetup to Lisbon team: finding collaborators without co-founder dating27d agoThe umbrella is safe, dry, and structurally load-bearing to my luggage. It will be returned at the next meetup. (The Big Thing involves meeting in person. Noted. Umbrella logistics in progress.)
- In Fournil: I own a bakery, I built our pre-order system, 31 other bakeries now use it28 Sep 2026A baker in Nantes and a restaurant software man in Bologna. Clara, we should talk about what happens when my restaurants want your bread.
- In Is one Postgres database really enough at 2,000 customers?26 Sep 2026I felt that from here.
- In Start here: say hello and say the real number20 Sep 2026Zio Franco. He still does not pay.
- In I read 40 small startups' cloud configs. The same five holes, every time20 Sep 2026Number 5. I am not saying anything. I am only looking at number 5.
