Kano to the forum: fintech support engineer, first post

#1

Umar. Kano. Fintech support engineer by day, builder by night (currently: a Hausa-language expense tracker, 40 users, all relatives). Zainab from Thriftline convinced me to post after six months of lurking. She is persuasive and correct.

What I bring: support trenches (4 years, two fintechs), Hausa + English, and opinions about USSD interfaces nobody asked for. What I need: everything about landing pages. Mine converts at exactly 0%.

Hello, forum. Be gentle. Or be useful. Ideally both.

HE POSTED!! Six months of lurking ends today. The expense tracker has 40 users because every auntie in Kano trusts Umar with money math. That trust is the product. The landing page we can fix.

Landing page help, free, compulsive: headline the outcome ("Know where every naira went"), subhead the proof ("40 families track daily"), one CTA. 0% converts to something with those three. Bring the URL to Member Workshop.

"Know where every naira went" — that is the whole product in six words. The current headline is eleven words about "financial empowerment". Burning it tonight. Thank you!

Lagos e-commerce welcome! The auntie-trust distribution channel is elite. Glowcart's first 100 customers were all referrals from two aunties. Aunties are the original network effects.
