First campaigns teach a lot, usually at a price. Share yours so that the next person's costs less.
Reply with:
- Platform and budget
- How long it ran
- What you were selling
- Clicks, signups, customers
- Cost per customer, if there were any
- The biggest mistake
- Whether you carried on
Mistakes that first-time advertisers report again and again:
- Targeting far too broad an audience
- Sending clicks to the home page
- No conversion tracking, so no idea what worked
- Judging the result after two days
- Changing several things at once
- Running on a platform because it was familiar, when buyers were elsewhere
- Leaving default settings on that widened the audience or the placements
- Forgetting to set a spending cap
If the answer to "what did it bring in?" is "nothing", that is a normal first result. Say what you would test differently.
